With just a handful of ingredients that you can find in good supermarkets, you can create your own velvety, rich dark chocolate at home. Ingredients

  • 35g cocoa butter or coconut oil

  • 35g cocoa powder

  • 30g icing sugar alternative

  • Pinch of salt


Instructions

1. Start by melting the cocoa butter or coconut oil in a heatproof bowl. You can use a double boiler or microwave it in short intervals until completely melted.

2. In a separate bowl, sift the cocoa powder, icing sugar alternative and salt to remove any lumps and ensure a smooth texture in your chocolate.

3. Add the sifted cocoa powder mixture to the melted cocoa butter or coconut oil. Mix the ingredients together until well combined and the mixture becomes smooth and glossy.

4. Once thoroughly mixed, pour the chocolate mixture into a mold or onto a lined baking sheet, depending on the desired shape and thickness of your chocolate.

5. Place the mold or baking sheet in the refrigerator or freezer to allow the chocolate to set. This process typically takes about 1 to 2 hours, depending on the thickness of the chocolate.

6. Once the chocolate has hardened, remove it from the refrigerator or freezer and carefully pop the chocolate out of the mold or break it into desired pieces if using a baking sheet.

7. Your homemade sugar-free, low-carb dark chocolate is now ready to be enjoyed. Store it in an airtight container in a cool place. If using coconut oil, which sets softer than cocoa butter, it is recommended to store the chocolate in the refrigerator to achieve a firmer texture.
